Newbie Web Marketing

Hi

I have set up this blog to give assistance to people like me interested in making money on the web and building web sites. I have been building websites and attempting to make money on the net since November 2007. I guess I could be considered a newbie but in that time I have bought maybe about 200 products on the net watched hours of videos and built some sites.

What I can say after my 6 months of countless late nights and steep learning curve is that it's not as simple as it first appears!

The two idioms that are true now and will be true in the future are that original content is king and links from similar high ranking content sites are important to ranking well on the net.

The other thing that I have learnt is that writing content that is spider friendly and human friendly takes time. And at 54 with a family including a 5 year old son that's something I haven't got a lot of!

Just lately I realised that I had to start looking at a few extra ideas to build up income on the net. I've signed up to a couple of sites showing the way to build traffic build web sites market bla bla bla.

Up lines down lines side lines. After about a week of testing these concepts the only thing I got was a headache.

And sore eyes!

There systems where ok but when you looked at what was required it was just to daunting and the monthly costs are between $25 and $97.00 per month. There was even one offering to let me in for $5000.00.

It might be ok but my wife would kill me.

They say its a numbers game and when you look at the traffic and the money being spent on the net it is a numbers game.

So have a chance of succeeding you have to be there for the long haul. Now I don't know about you but if I am spending $30 to $50 dollars per month I want to see some sort of return in 6 months.

So to stay in the business long term say 10 years if you have a low annual fees say $130 per year for hosting and a domain name that's not going to break the bank. Even if you didn't make a dime the foundation of your web marketing business wouldn't send you to the cleaners.

Any way I found just such a web business. It helps newbies and gives you potential for making 12 income streams if other newbies want to build Internet sites. Plus there are heaps of videos that give you a well rounded understanding of web marketing and walks you through every thing step by step.

Just one more thing it also gives you content and links the two keys to building a business on the net.
